What's new with us you ask? Well, today we've been married 9 months! Its kind of ironic bc the weather is exactly like it was on our wedding day, a wet mess! It's been thundering all day and raining on and off. It always brings me back to our ceremony, when the largest boom of thunder hit just when the congregation stood up and promised to help protect our marriage. It's a good feeling to hear thunder, its a sweet reminder of our big day. We went to the Dynamo soccer game for the 4the of July Our next big adventure is our trip to Italy! We just booked our flights to visit Rome for 4 days and Florence for 4 days. I don't even have a passport yet! I tried yesterday morning but the post office only had one clerk so they said I'll have to go back next Sunday. Boo hoo. At least I was able to get my picture taken at Walgreen's after 2 tries. Ridiculous morning. But partially successful. So tell me, where do you stay when visiting Florence and Rome??

Its Spring Time!

Its finally Spring time in Houston! I'm usually much more in love with the Fall because thats when its cold, and the holidays are near, but this year i was really looking forward to the spring. We finally have moved in all of our new wedding gifts and switched them out from our combination of old college kitchenware and stuff. Its like we grew up and now have grown up appliances and silverware. No more walmart stainless steel $1 forks and knives. Its amazing how that level of quality was no biggy when we were in college; now i would never choose to have anything less than what we have now.
Below is a picture of a Bogenvila outside of our hotel in Hawaii while on our honeymoon. Its the best color. I just wish we have flowers like this in houston for spring time.

Since the wedding

We got married! On October 8th I walked down the aisle to marry my best friend! It was an amazing day, even though austin has been in a drought for over 10 months, not a drop of rain for 10 months and yet, on our wedding day the sky decided it was time to rain, and it did. The whole day! We had thunder boomers during our ceremony and we missed getting to take the traditional "bride and groom" photos after the ceremony. We had planned to go to the capital but it was too wet out so we headed on to the reception. I think I'll always be bummed we didn't get to take those photos. Anyways, the day couldn't have been more awesome. Now we're coming up on 3 months of marriage! It's crazy how it goes so fast.
We made it through the holidays, Thanksgiving at marc's parents home and Christmas at my parnents home. We are planning our next quick trip to West Virginia for a 3 day ski trip before the snow starts to melt up north. So excited for our future and everthing it has in store for us.
